Acceptable Use Policy
Last Updated: May 8, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the acceptable operational parameters for using Zetrox Broadband's network infrastructure. By utilizing our services, you agree to strictly adhere to these protocols to ensure a fast, secure, and legally compliant network for all users.
1. Prohibited Network Activity
The Zetrox network operates under the jurisdiction of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), India. You are strictly prohibited from using our infrastructure to:
- Illegal Content: Access, download, transmit, or distribute any material that violates Indian or International law, including pirated software, copyrighted media, or child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Cyber Threats: Launch Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, distribute malware, trojans, or ransomware, or attempt to breach the security of any other network or server.
- Spam & Phishing: Transmit unsolicited bulk email (spam), conduct phishing campaigns, or harvest email addresses without consent.
- Fraud: Engage in financial fraud, identity theft, or impersonation of Zetrox Broadband personnel.
2. Bandwidth Abuse & Reselling
To protect the bandwidth availability for all customers, the following commercial abuses are strictly banned on residential connections:
- Reselling Bandwidth: You may not act as a micro-ISP. Sharing, reselling, or distributing your Zetrox connection to neighboring premises, tenants, or businesses is a direct violation of your contract.
- Commercial Servers: Residential plans are not engineered to host high-traffic commercial web servers, public file-sharing hubs (Torrents/Seedboxes), or extensive crypto-mining operations. Enterprise routing must be purchased for these use cases.
3. Hardware & Physical Infrastructure Tampering
The physical integrity of the Zetrox network is critical. Users agree to the following hardware protocols:
- Optical Fiber: You must not splice, bend, cut, or tamper with the fiber-optic drop cable installed at your premises.
- Zetrox Hardware: The provided 5G Router and Optical Network Terminal (ONT) firmware must not be flashed, modified, or hacked. Any damage caused by unauthorized hardware modification will result in equipment replacement fees.
4. User Security Responsibilities
You are ultimately responsible for any activity that originates from your assigned Zetrox IP address. It is your duty to:
- Secure your Wi-Fi network with a strong WPA2/WPA3 password to prevent unauthorized access by neighbors or malicious actors.
- Ensure your connected devices are reasonably protected against malware that could autonomously turn your network into a botnet.
5. Enforcement & Network Termination
Zetrox Broadband actively monitors automated network health and traffic metrics. If a violation of this AUP is detected:
- We reserve the right to instantly throttle, suspend, or permanently terminate your connection without prior notice or refund.
- In cases involving severe cybercrime or distribution of illegal material, Zetrox Broadband will permanently log the offending IP address and fully cooperate with Indian Law Enforcement Agencies, providing physical installation details as required by law.
6. Reporting Network Abuse
If you believe a Zetrox Broadband IP address is being used to conduct cyberattacks, spam, or copyright infringement, please forward your logs and evidence to our dedicated network abuse team:
